Solent Future Transport Zone | Where do Mobility Credits have the biggest impact?
The Solent Future Transport Zone Mobility Credits scheme has helped people on low incomes access jobs, education, and essential services. From December 2024 to February 2025 a total of 760 participants received £50 a month in travel credits for 12 months to use on buses, ferries, and other local transport.
Early results show powerful outcomes: 97% of the participants surveyed said the scheme improved their wellbeing, and over half said it helped them find or stay in a job. The trial was expanded in 2025 to support more groups including jobseekers, foodbank users and those living in areas with targeted transport change interventions (such as trial bus gates, or mobility hub areas). Some of the trial results identified a much broader impact on Participants.
Join us in this session to learn how you can use mobility credits funding to achieve measurable behaviour change and encourage increased use of public transport.
